About the Event
This two-day workshop in an opportunity for women leaders at all points in their career and serving in all different roles in schools to spend two days better understanding the strengths they bring as women to their work as well as some of the challenges of leading. We will explore topics including status, the changing dynamics of gender, Kimberle Crenshaw's theory of intersectionality, the power of story, finding and using voice, and how intentional physical presence can impact the way we influence groups and lead for change. This workshop is optimistic and action-oriented and a unique opportunity to interact with other women leading in schools who want to maximize their leadership potential.
This experience will be an investment in you as a person, a professional, a leader, and a change maker through the lens of being a woman in the world and the contexts currently at play. Participants will learn from themselves and one another and will leave with a greater sense of self and an action plan for stepping into a new way of being as a leader in their schools, communities, and lives.Â
This two-day workshop is for women in leadership roles or women who are considering taking on formal leadership roles in schools.
